Obituaries : Linda Lea Davis

Linda Lea Davis, age 61, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on May 13, 2024, at Mary Greeley Medical Center.

Per her wishes and her family, cremation rites will be accorded. Family and close friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Mound Cemetery in Watkins, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda's name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Linda Lea Davis was born February 14, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, IA. but grew up in Watkins, IA. She was the daughter of Duane and Virginia (Moore) Lentner. Linda attended High School at Benton Community and became a hairdresser until attending MCC. While at Marshalltown Community College, she received her degree as a Registered Nurse and worked in various hospitals, nursing homes, and the Iowa Veterans Home of Marshalltown. At one point in her career, she held the title of Assistant Director of Nursing. Spending time with her children and grandchildren always made her smile. Linda enjoyed T.V. shows, gardening, reading and traveling the Caribbean.

She is survived by her two sons, Aaron (Katie) Hulin of Toledo, IA. and Tyrell Davis of Ankeny, IA., her grandchildren; Thomas Murty, Lincoln Ealy, Kameron Hulin, and Cooper Hulin, her sister Penny Hand of Atkins, IA., her brother David Lentner of Toledo, IA, her aunt Connie Schmitz of Cedar Rapids, IA., her cousins Steve and Scott Schmitz, her niece and nephews and her two dogs; Mya and Tazzie.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Virginia, her sister Sheryl Friedman, and her son Nicholas Murty.
