Diana Rae Buhr passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo. Diana leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Blairstown Presbyterian Church with Pastor Diane Vorhies officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time also at the church. Following the service a reception will be held at the Blairstown Community Center.

Diana was born on January 3, 1944, the daughter of the late Ray and Mercedes Hollingshead. She grew up outside of Dana on a farm, surrounded by a close-knit family. She was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to nurturing her children and creating a warm and loving home. Diana was known not only for her kindness and compassion but also for her incredible spirit and resilience.

Diana enjoyed many passions throughout her life, drawing joy from time spent with family and friends. Her laughter and warmth will be missed deeply by all who knew her. She also enjoyed watching racing, going to the casino, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Diana is survived by her loving family, including her children, Cindy (Brian) Kimm of Blairstown, Rodney (Kathy) Buhr of Marshalltown, Ryan Buhr of Newhall, Randy Buhr of Blairstown, and son in law Dave Gasper of Blairstown; grandchildren, Scott Benesh, Mikael Benesh, Jodie (Candi) Benesh, Kristin Benesh, Bo (Amy) Benesh, AJ (Angela) Benesh, Skyler (Kimberly) Kimm, Spencer Kimm, Shyanna (Logan) Gorsch, Justin Hansen, Brandy (Travis) Horner, Samantha Hansen, Daniel Gasper, Jarrod (Kylie) Buhr, Bryton Buhr, Brody Buhr, Blake Buhr, and Stryker Buhr; Step-grandchildren, Jacob (Jodie) Kimm and Jami Kimm, 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, a special great niece Jessica Brogden. Diana will be remembered for her thoughtful spirit and her ability to brighten the lives of those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marjorie, husband Frank Buhr, two sons Danny and David Buhr, daughter LuAnn Hansen, grandchild Angelica Buhr, and great-granddaughter Charlotte Kerkman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, ensuring that Diana's legacy of love continues to shine. Rest in peace Diana Buhr. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

KT February 25, 2025, 7:20 pm I had the pleasure years ago of doing Diana's hair when I had my beauty salon. She was the sweetest lady and we could talk kids, foods anything! My sympathy to the family. I'm sure she will be missed.
