Obituaries : Delbert Francis Henle

Delbert Francis Henle, 73 of Belle Plaine IA, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. 

Delbert was born on September 14, 1951 in Marshalltown, IA, the son of Horace "Pat" and Mabel (Coleman) Henle. He graduated from South Tama County High School in 1969. He served in the Navy from Nov. 1972 to Nov. 1976. On July 16, 1977 he married Darlene Papesh. In 1984 he married Lori Gulick. Delbert has made his home in Belle Plaine for several years. 

He is survived by three sisters and three brothers: Beverly (Rishard) Foels of Oskaloosa, Douglas (Linda) Henle and Melanie Henle of Belle Plaine, Dennis (Connie) Henle of Pella, Denise (Dale) Beck of Jacksboro, TX and Richard Henle of Coralville.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lori Henle; daughter, Angela Rae; sisters, Kathleen Woodman, Elaine Henle and a brother, Raymond Henle.

Delbert will be cremated with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
