Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton, with Rev. Randy Kasch officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Friday, also at the church. A memorial fund has been established.
Cheryl was born on December 5, 1949, in Waterloo, the daughter of Ullin and Helen (Stickney) Cantonwine. She graduated from Washington High School in Vinton, with the class of 1968, and graduated from Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. On June 1, 1987, Cheryl was united in marriage to James Kelley at the 1st Baptist Church in Vinton. Cheryl worked as a nurse at the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in Vinton.
Family was Cheryl's life, and she was the hub of her family.
She is survived by her husband James of Vinton.; daughters, Carrie (Brandon) Kluiter of Benson, NC, Gayle Clark of Belle Plaine and her sons, Nick Hulbert, and Ashton Bodecker; son Aaron (Makenzie) Kelley of Cedar Rapids and their children, Teagan, Mitzie, and Aiden Kelley; daughter-in-law, Linda Kelley of Warrand, MN, and her daughters, Jazmine, and Samantha Kelley; and Cheryl's cousin Jean Jordan of Minneapolis, MN.
She was preceded in death by Baby Clark, Baby Hulbert, Travis Kelley, and Liam and Asher Kelley.
