Gerald "Jerry" Raymond Driscoll, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 at his home. Funeral service: 10 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Jude Catholic Church by Rev. Nick March. Burial: Mound Cemetery, Watkins. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and after 9 a.m., Friday at the church.

Jerry is survived by his wife Cindy; daughter Jenny (Joel) Hansen of Cedar Rapids; son Jeremy (Amelia) Driscoll of West Des Moines; step daughter Amanda (Lonnie) Carolan of Vinton; step son Troy Gardner of Cedar Falls; grandchildren Jacob (Emily) Hansen, Joshua Hansen, Jules and Maverick Driscoll, Clarissa, Hudson and Brie Carolan, Sofia Gardner; great grandson Kingston Hansen; brother Bill (Karen) Driscoll of Newhall, brother-in-law Jim Clark and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Edwin (Judy) Driscoll, Ronald Driscoll, Carol Clark, Lloyd Driscoll, Patricia (Victor) Butz and Larry Driscoll.

Jerry was born on June 18, 1944 in Watkins, to Edwin and Lucille Schutterle Driscoll. He graduated from Norway High School in 1962. Jerry served with the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was stationed in Vietnam for one year. Jerry was married to Diane Stallman and from that union two children were born, Jenny and Jeremy. He then married Cindy Milbrath Gardner and they shared 16 years together. Jerry worked for Iowa Manufacturing for over 40 years, rarely missing a day, and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Norway American Legion.

Jerry was an avid runner who completed three marathons and a triathlon. He enjoyed bicycling, hunting and traveling with Cindy. Jerry always liked to keep busy and could be found doing outdoor projects at his home or helping others in need. Above all, Jerry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the best grandpa ever and his family will miss him dearly.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Catholic Church.
