Larry Charles Luze was born on June 30, 1937, the son of Roy and Mildred (Caslavka) Luze. Larry attended Dysart High School and graduated with the class of 1955. Larry attended Iowa State University for one year before returning to Dysart to join his father on the family farm. Larry married Marcia Kaye Casbon on June 30, 1957, at the Dysart E.U.B. church and they made their home in Dysart until moving to the family farm northeast of Dysart in 1960.

Larry and Marcia worked together on the family farm for 45 years until moving to their home in Dysart in 2005, raising crops and livestock. They enjoyed spending their winters in McAllen, Texas, and Larry was always anxious to get back to the farm when they came home in the spring.

Larry served on the board of the Farmers Cooperative Telephone Company for over 25 years and was active in the Benton County Farm Bureau serving as county President. Larry and Marcia were members of the Dysart United Methodist Church.

Larry passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the age of 88 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcia, on September 4, 2020, and his parents.

Larry is survived by his son Randy (Cassie) Luze and their children Mollie (John) Aronowitz and Jack (Reenie) Luze, his daughter Ranae (Rick) Dolleslager and their children Adam (Kylie Hartig) Bergmeier, Emily (Johnny) Millard, McKaila (Nic) Hanna, Alexa (Justin) Blomme and Ali Arwine and his daughter Jennifer (Josh) Wolff and their children Ellie, Jake and Emma Wolff; his brother Richard (Diane) Luze and 17 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Dysart United Methodist Church or the Little Knights Learning Center.

Visitation: Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM at the Dysart United Methodist Church and Monday, August 11, 2025, from 9-10:30 AM.

Funeral Service: Monday, August 11, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Dysart United Methodist Church.
