Lola M. Kasal, 98, of Belle Plaine, IA, passed away August 10, 2025 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, IA.

Lola was born June 19, 1927 to Ora and Wilma (Ealy) Rupp in Vinton, IA. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1945. She married Maurice Burns in 1946. They were blessed with to two children, Gloria and Chuck, before going their separate ways. In 1955 Lola married Elmer McCollum Jr. and moved to Cedar Rapids. The couple were blessed with their daughter, Sandra, and later parted ways. In 1965, Lola married Harold Kasal, together making their home in Marengo, IA.

Along with rising her three children, Lola worked a variety of jobs from restaurants, nursing homes, to manufacturing; before retiring from Amana Refrigeration.

Lola loved playing Bingo and traveling to visit family.

She is survived by her children, Gloria Cobb of Edgewater, FL, Sandra (Ken Jacobson) Frost of Guttenberg, IA; daughter-in-law, June Burns of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Vern, Miles, Robert, Taleitha, Lewis, Adam, Kimberly, Rochelle; several great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Diane (Kenny) Bear; brothers, LeRoy, Denny (Kathy), Les (Eileen) and Rick (Jackie) Rupp.

Lola is preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles; siblings, Paul, Nathan, Joyce, Charlotte, Margarette, Stan, and Greg.

Graveside service is 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, IA with visitation at graveside one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences can be sent to www.neuhausfuneralservice.com
