Surrounded by her loving family, Linda Miracle, 81, of Vinton, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at UI Health Care Medical Center in Iowa City.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton. Private graveside services will be held.
Linda was born August 1, 1944, in Dry Branch, KY, the daughter of Vivian LeMaster. She graduated from high school in Louisville, KY, in 1962, and was united in marriage to Elwood “Woody” Miracle on May 8, 1962, in Morehead, KY. Linda devoted her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered.
Linda enjoyed reading, playing cards, baking, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church. She and Woody enjoyed Bible studies and hosted many of the meetings in their home.
Linda is survived by her son, Rich (Lori) Miracle of Vinton; daughter, Marsha Burright of Des Moines; grandchildren, Kylie (Evan) O’Leary, Conner Miracle, Kinzzy (Damon Swenson) Miracle, and Ben Burright; great-grandson, Liam Swenson; and sister, Nina Williams of OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Elwood “Woody” Miracle; and her brother, Albert Ealywine.
