Joseph Jeremiah Blink, 32, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away January 11, 2026.

Joseph was born November 10, 1993, in Marshalltown, IA. Joe moved to Belle Plaine with his family at a young age, graduating from Belle Plaine High School, class of 2013.

Joe collected hats—more than 300 of them. He was a jolly soul who loved to socialize, and fun facts were his specialty. From music trivia to bottle-cap Snapple facts, Joe always had something new to share. He was incredibly word-smart, a walking dictionary who often carried one in his back pocket—just in case. More than once, family would laugh and say, “Joe, dumb it down.”

Through countless health struggles, Joe never complained. Instead, he met life with quiet strength and humor, often turning to Joe Walsh music when times were tough. Joe had a rare gift for making people feel comfortable, never judgmental, always kind. Being around him felt easy and warm. He will be remembered not just for what he knew, but for how deeply he cared and how loved he made everyone feel.

Joe is survived by his mother, Kim Blink; father, Roger (Renae) Blink; brother, John (Kelsey) Blink; sister, Rachel (Lance) Bresser; niece, Violet; grandparents, John and Joan Vannordstrand.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Elizabeth Blink; uncle, Ed Blink; aunt, Nancy Ritcher; cousins, Benham Tompkins, Mike Blink.

Celebration of Life is 2-4 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service with time for sharing at 4 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
