Robb Bright

Robb Bright, 52, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Rev. Steve Benton officiating. Interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 AM until service time on Saturday. The Casket will remain closed at all times. A memorial Fund has been established.

Robb was born November 21, 1957 at Cedar Rapids to Jim and Julia (Schoonover) Bright and graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in 1976 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1983. Robb was employed as an Insurance Adjustor in the Auto Claims Department. In his leisure he enjoyed playing poker and pool, and golfing.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather (C. J.) DeMeulenaere, and Holly Bright all of Cedar Rapids, his father, Jim Bright of Vinton; and his brother, Lon (Stephanie) Bright and their children, Lexi and Ellie, all of Anamosa.

Robb was preceded in death by his mother, Julia.
