URBANA: Sharon E. Dziewanowski, 65 died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a brief illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana with Father David Ambrosy as Celebrant. Interment will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery near Urbana. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 East Sixth Street in Vinton from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday and after 9 AM on Monday at the church in Urbana. A Vigil Service will be held at 5 PM on Sunday evening at the funeral home conducted by Father Ardel Barta. A Memorial Fund has been established for the Urbana Ambulance.

Sharon was born November 12, 1947 at Cedar Rapids to Harold and Maxine McElwain Hill and graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids with the class of 1965.

On November 26, 1965 she married Thomas “Tom” Anthony Dziewanowski at Marion, Tom preceded her in death on March 21, 2007.

Sharon was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana. She worked for Rockwell Collins for 35 years retiring in 2006.

She is survived by her son, Steven Dziewanowski and his wife Stacey of Marion; her daughter Deanna Dziewanowski of Urbana; her grandson, Zachary Dziewanowski; and one brother, George Hill and his wife, Barb of Cedar Rapids.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant children, Anthony Allan and Angela Rae Dziewanowski, one sister, Carol Franck, two brothers, Harold and Kenny Hill.
