PHYLLIS IRENE WERTS
Winterset-Phyllis Werts, age 90, mother of Carolyn Hibbs of Vinton, died at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset on June 8, 2010.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Winterset with burial in the Earlham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday June 11, 2010, at the church in Winterset, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Phyllis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winterset. She was a life-long resident and housewife in Madison County.
She is survived by daughter Lucile Wycoff of Winterset; daughter Dorothy Smith (Bill) of Grinnell; son Dick (Kay) of Earlham; son Harry (Judy) of Des Moines; daughter Carolyn Hibbs (Mike) of Vinton; sister Carolyn Anker of Earlham; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Loyal and a son Jim Werts.
