Just last night my phone rang, and something happened that wouldn't have happened 10 years ago.

My sister called me on her way home from work...

Then we started discussing technology. I explained that yesterday was entertaining. While working on the website, I was helping one of my daughters with their multiplication and division, and texting, e-mailing, popping into facebook as well as creating ads.

Right after saying that, my cell phone rang, so we had to end our conversation.

I just can't believe how technology makes you feel like you are getting so many thing done...then you realize that when the power goes out, you almost breathe a sigh of relief, you finally get a break from it all.

Last night we had just crawled into bed when my phone went off again, with a text message.I picked up the phone only to discover it was a wrong number with a text message.

Well, what's a person supposed to do?

It was someone who had a problem and they needed to vent. So I let them vent. Then I tried to smooth things over for the other person they were upset with. Then they vented some more. Then I finally tried to explain that I wasn't who they thought I was, which took a few messages to make clear.

Then I thought, I'm actually feeling sorry for this person texting me, and I don't even know her (I assume, it sounded like a her type problem)...I rolled my eyes and understood how drama unfolds on places like Facebook, but at the same time was intrigued by this person's problem!

So today as I sit once again at my computer, awaiting another day, and still texting my faceless friend, I chuckle as I wonder how this day will end, and who I can listen to tonight...and wondering should I mention Vinton Today to my new "faceless friend"?
