VSHS Soccer: Vikings get first team win

The Vinton-Shellsburg High School boys soccer team, one of the first-year teams in Iowa this year, is celebrating its first win. The Vikings defeated Independence Tuesday evening in Vinton.

Former Vikette Shelby Beyer places in three events for UNI

UNI freshman and 2011 VS graduate Shelby Beyer enjoyed success throughout her freshman year on the UNI track team. Shelby's mom, Dawn, reports that Shelby's last track meet was at the Messersmith Invitational at UNI last Friday.

WaMaC Super Meet: Vikings finish 9th, Vikettes 14th

The first-ever coed WaMaC Super conference track meet took place in Vinton on Thursday evening. Both boys and girls teams competed, with more than 800 athletes signed up for track and field events.
