Sports : Amber Pattee to serve as coach for VSHS Bowling Team; fund-raiser Nov. 16

The Vinton-Shellsburg High School Bowling team are excited to announce that Amber Pattee has volunteered to be the bowling coach for this bowling season. We really appreciate Amber stepping up to be our bowling coach - Thank you Amber!!!

Now, that the coaching position has been filled the bowling team is rolling onto to their last hurdle....fundraising. We have to raise $3000 to cover all of the teams costs. So far we have received $750 through the bowling shirt fundraiser and from personal/business donations. The V-S Bowling team has scheduled a 9 Pin Bowling Tournament at Berry's Lanes on November 16th. Mark your calendars and stop by Berry's Lanes and bowl with your family and friends. We will have two flights of bowling starting at 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Entry Fee: $10.00 per person (includes $6.00 bowling fee). Trophies will be awarded to the top three places for two different age groups (12 years old & Under and 13 years old to Adult). A silent auction of great items will also be held with the final bids being placed by 6:30 pm on the 16th. Are you wondering how you can help this new bowling team? We are accepting monetary donations at the Berry's Lanes and the Vinton-Shellsburg Central Business Office, or you can drop off donate items to the bowling alley that can be included in the silent auction. Stop by Berry's Lanes on Nov. 16th and place a bid on one of the silent auction items. We hope to see you on November 16th to support the V-S Bowling Team.
