Sophomore Lily Horst finished in fourth place in the Class 3A state girls cross country meet on Saturday in Fort Dodge. The Vikettes finished in 8th place with 211 team points.
Underclassmen dominated the girls' Class 3A field; all five top finishers are either freshmen or sophomores.
Viking junior Derek Dinderman ran in the boys individual event, finishing in 43rd place with a time of 17.12
