One of the newer traditions at Vinton-Shellsburg High School is the wrestling labor auction. This year's event took place Monday at the high school, with long-time auctioneer Duane Johnson taking bids.
The wrestlers, managers and coaches took their turn on the auction block, exchanging eight hours of work for a donation to the wrestling programs. Proceeds help cover the costs of equipment and wrestling camps.
First year coach Joel Neve thanked the participants for their support.
