The Vikettes picked up wins number 14 and 15 tonight! Sophomore Rachel Tandy had her first experience as meet medalist; her sister Lauren was co-runner up. This group of young ladies is truly team focused. It's that old axiom: "On any given night…."
Halie Engler shot 53 while playing in her first varsity meet. Olivia Walker had low putts with 16. Anna Sagan was JV medalist for the first time. This is one of the strongest JV teams I've enjoyed in my years of coaching golf. Their scores match many varsity scores. We've had several JV team members enjoy the opportunity to play varsity because of their improved scores.
The Vikette varsity will compete at Manchester's Pin Oaks course on Monday in a 9 hole tourney. Next Thursday V-S girls host CPU at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg in a varsity-JV meet.
