Vinton-Shellsburg hosted the Middle School girls Wamac West track meet on Friday in Vinton. The 8th graders won big, with 131 team points; Benton Community was 2nd with 95.
In the 7th grade meet, VS was third, with 80 points. Clear Creek-Amana won with 136 total points
All of the VS winners on Friday were 8th graders. First place finishers include:
Lauren Upmeyer, shot put (32 feet, 2 inches)
4 x 100 relay team (57.22)
4 x 200 relay team (2:02.82)
400M Shuttle Hurdle Relay
