C.J. Rickels won the 7th grade 100M hurdles event at the Little Viking Invitational.
C.J. Rickels won the 8th grade 100M hurdles event at the Little Viking Invitational.
Tuesday's Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School's annual Little Viking Invitational included hundreds of seventh and eighth grade athletes from seven area schools.
The VSMS 7th graders finished 2nd in team scoring; the 8th grade team was third.
VS winners included:
7th:
Max Vasquez, 100M. 13.25; 200M., 26.25;
Logan Zearley, 400M; 1:04.75; 100 hurdles, 16.78; 200M hurdles, 30.04; long jump, 15'08".
8th:
C.J. Rickels, 100M hurdles, 16.15;
4 x 100 relay, 59.25.
