Airport National is a shorter course with no par 5s and a lot of par 3s. It is not a walk in the park, but has some rather steep hills for golfers to climb and some very challenging holes. Our team shot exceptionally well today and garnered the invitational championship. Halie Engler and Rachel Tandy both shot 82s which earned them 3rd and 4th place medals respectively by card back. All of our team members present played well and each received a first place medal; the girls also brought home the championship team trophy! We were pleased to earn top honors against several 5A and 4A schools today. Our record now stands at 43-5.
Tomorrow we will play in the annual South Tama Invitational at Tama-Toledo Country Club. Monday will find us in Clinton for round one of Regional play.
