Sports : Vikette State Track athletes continue tradition at Ehlinger's

First the Vikettes, and an hour or two later, Viking athletes who will represent Vinton-Shellsburg at the State Track Meet, took their turns painting window's at Ehlinger's Vinton Express/McDonald's. Manager Mel Davis started the tradition a few years ago with the cross country team, and now every VS team that advances to State in its sport receives the same invitation: Free dinner from McDonald's along with a flower and a chance to paint store windows. Vikettes who qualified for State include the following athletes/events: Distance medley: Hannah Kalous, Hanna Timmerman, Sarah Schminke, Gracie Horst.
