On Friday we competed against Waterloo Columbus and all teams were victorious. The girl's high score for the Girls with Christina Harrelson with a 370 series and for the Boys Varsity was Cyrus Elwick with a 457 series and a 279 game. Freshman Riley Richart bowled on the JV team and scored a very nice 464 series with a 247 game. These kids are all pushing themselves very hard and are peaking at the right time.
On Saturday we competed in our Wamac Tournament in Manchester in a very tight scoring race for the boys and the girls' team shot almost 100 pins above their current average which has continued to climb over the last few meets.
First, I want to start off with the girls' Team. This team has such a great spirit and works together so well. They were led by Jordan Pattee with a 182 game and a 310 series. She has been pushing herself every time she is bowling and continues to grow. The girls' team shot almost 100 pins over average and I am excited to see what they will accomplish in the Regional meet.
Chloe Tharp 162 146 308
Jozee White 119 140 259
Jordan Pattee 182 128 310
Brianna Lundvall 134 146 280
Jenna Pattee 175 115 290
Christina Harrelson 165 137 302
Next up for the boys……What a nail biter! After the individual games, we were seated 1st by 7 pins over 2nd and 10 pins over 3rd. It was a tight race throughout the whole day. Scores were posted after 3 baker games and now we were in 3rd by 2 pins. (1st 2489, 2nd 2488 and VS in 3rd 2487). I did not share this with the boys because I just wanted them to focus on the game at hand. In the end, we were victorious. This is the first Wamac Championship that the Bowling Team has brought home and I am so proud of these guys. They really have been putting in extra games on their own even though it has been such a short season. The boys were led by senior, Nathan Harrelson, who was 6thoverall with a 414 series. As a team, they shot 170 pins over average.
Charley Cooling 196 167 363
Cameron Karr 187 163 350
Payton Haefner 150 148 298
Nathan Harrelson 210 204 414
Ryan Schoettmer 188 221 409
Cyrus Elwick 153 221 374
I can not tell you how proud I am of these kids. They are always at the bowling alley improving their game and working together. I want to give a shout out to the Parents who have played such a vital role in being there for these kids. I look forward to Regionals this week.
