Sports : VSU takes 2nd in Waterloo Swim Meet

VSU had a great meet in Waterloo Saturday! In a field of 5 teams, VSU took 2nd - edging out Waterloo who had previously beaten us.

Results
VSU posted lots of strong times: 18 individual time drops, with many again being all-time personal bests. Most girls' personal bests were set at our District meet last year, when they were rested and wearing specialized fast-skin suits. Being ahead of those times at only our fourth meet of the year shows we have great potential for even more improvement!
Clarissa Carolan powered her way to 1st place in the 100 Backstroke in 1:11.66, and led off the 200 Medley Relay that would finish 2nd. Lexi Goodell was also part of that Medley Relay, and would go on to win the 100 Breaststroke in 1:18.93. Geordyn Webster anchored the Medley Relay, and took her individual 1st in the 100 Freestyle in 58.97. Geordyn's sister Justyce Dominick came away with a speedy 3rd in the 100 Freestyle too.
We're at Williamsburg for an invitational tonight - should be a good showdown again!
