Vinton-Shellsburg Special Olympians

The Vinton-Shellsburg Special Olympics 5 on 5 Coed Basketball team defeated the team from Iowa City in Regional Competition to advance to the Championship game at the Midwinter Games on Saturday, March 13th.  Vinton-Shellsburg will square off against Atlantic at 10 am at the University of Iowa Fieldhouse in Iowa City.  The team, wearing a sampling of the new uniforms, consists of, from left to right, Head Coach Tammy Zimmerman, Kim Moon, Tyler Clark, Rodney Uthoff, Robert Hurst, Steven Schmitz, Zach Turner, Mikayla Jacobsen, Assistant Coach Brian Larkin, William Greenwood, John Larkin, and Assistant Coach Whitney Bowen.
