An early season special brings NASCAR favorite Ken Schrader to Benton County Speedway for the April 8 Frostbuster.
Schrader will race an IMCA Modified in the Sunday show at Vinton, joining BCS regulars and a host of Frostbuster visitors in pursuit of a $1,000 top prize. The winner becomes a candidate for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.
Schrader has earned 184 top 10 finishes in NASCAR races since 1984; this year he has earned $358,230 in four NASCAR starts. He was the NASCAR Rookie of the Year in 1985.
Rounding out the Sunday program are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts.
Pit gates and the grandstand open at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 3:30 p.m. and racing starts at 4 p.m.
