Not a good night for the Vikettes; except Cara Hach shot very well. This is her second meet and second time this season to medal. Erin Randall had low putts with 16. Cara Hach and Erin Randall each recorded a birdie.
We had too many penalty strokes; that’s not the kind of record we want to set. The wind was a factor, but we also had difficulties with sand traps, shot selection, and adjustments due to the wind. We’ll chalk it up as a learning experience.
We host a WAMAC quadrangular Thursday night here at the Vinton Country Club. Joining V-S will be Marion, Clear Creek-Amana and Waterloo Columbus. Each of these teams has the possibility to put up some low scores.
