Sports : VPRD accepting registrations for Adult Softball League

The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department has begun accepting registrations for the upcoming Adult Softball League season! Teams will have a chance to enjoy the recent renovations made to Lions Field as they compete in either the Men's divisions or the Women's division. Get your team together and be sure to turn in your registration form by Friday, April 20th. The initial deposit required is $30 and the length of season, team fees and other items will be discussed at the Captain's Meeting on Wednesday, April 25th. League play will then tentatively begin the week of May 21st! Registration forms are available at the Vinton Recreation Center or online at www.vprdzone.com. VPRD would also like to say thank you for your patience in allowing us to complete our renovations at Lions Field. Although the field remains closed to the public, we hope to open back up within the next couple of weeks. For the time being, we ask that you continue to practice at either of the Kiwanis Park ball diamonds.
