Pam Trumbull has worked in the food service industry since age 13, as a waitress and cook and in many other positions.

Now she has a new title: Business owner. Pam was busy this morning, setting up City Lite Yogurt for a final visit from the health inspector before opening the business today at the corner of A Avenue and 4th Street, just a few doors down from the Vinton Palace Theatre.

A resident of Norway, Pam said Vinton was an easy choice because of the location and because her husband works nearby at Faust Oil.

The frozen yogurt machines offer a variety of flavors as well as the opportunity to mix flavors together. Some NSA (no sugar added) flavors are also available.

City Lite’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, although Pam says she is open to suggestions from customers about other hours.

The walls of the renovated building (which was most recently the home of a medical supply company) are bare for now, but soon will include a painting of frozen yogurt by Macy Cox of Creartivity along with photos of children customers enjoying their treats.

Customers can sign up for email updates, or stay connected via the City Lite Facebook page.
