Thursday, Ray Lough, attorney and life-long resident of Vinton, filed nomination paperwork to run for the office of Benton County Attorney.

Ray has a private law practice in Vinton, specializing in family, juvenile, and probate law.

He is married to Patricia, a teacher at Vinton-Shellsburg High School. The couple has eleven adopted children, four of whom are still in school.
