Gregory "Greg" Alec Breja, 50, of Elberon, IA passed away suddenly, June 5, 2021 at his home, due to a heart condition.

Greg was born October 11, 1970 in Waterloo, IA to Stephen and Elizabeth "Betty" (Gindt) Breja. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1989. Following school, Greg lived at home to help his family on the farm as well as other famers in the area. Greg was a hard worker, most recently for Pierce Lumber in Belle Plaine while still working the family farm running a small cow and calf operation.

Greg enjoyed sports, cheering on ISU and Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball, going to Belle Plaine Athletic events and supporting all Belle Plaine organizations. He like to be around people and talk to his brothers on the phone. When he was younger Greg enjoyed raising his sheep. He was a devoted Christian and member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Greg is survived by his brothers, Jeff (Lisa) Breja of State Center and Craig (Patty) Breja of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews, Justin (Lauren) Breja, Zach Breja, Shannon (Jon) Licht, Kate Breja, C.J. Breja, Kelly Breja, Marshall Breja, Andrew (Amberly) Breja, Phillip (Heather) Breja; great nieces and nephews, Brynn, Roslyn, Cohen, Avalyn, Aaron, Georgiana, Francis, Felicity; along with many more loving aunts, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Francis and Tim Breja.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Belle Plaine with Father Greg Bahl and Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Service will also be livestreamed through the funeral service Facebook page. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Vining, IA.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 14th at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine. With Rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com
