Lane M. Lafler, age 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2022 at his home in Marion.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone with Chris Lafler officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2022 at the funeral home.

Lane was born on December 30, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the son of LaVerne and Ardith (Andresen) Lafler. He graduated from Benton Community High School with the class of 1980. And Ellsworth Community College with a degree in business. Lane worked in the banking industry most of his career and was currently employed at CRST in Cedar Rapids.

Lane was well known in the bowling community and was inducted into the Cedar Rapids Bowling Hall of Fame in 2016. He was proud to coach youth bowling for over 36 years. He also enjoyed collecting all types of sports cards throughout his life.

He is survived by his children, Tara (Lee) Barron of Blairstown, Shawn (Tristin) Lafler of Palo; beloved grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, and Madison Barron; Rebecca, and Wade Lafler; his brother Lynn (Chris) Lafler of Vinton; and sister, Lori Namanny of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Ardith Lafler.
