Donald W. Dixon, 65, of Miles, Iowa, sadly passed away at the MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa after suffering a heart attack on April 24, 2023. He was born on January 15, 1958 in Bloomfield, Iowa to Edward Dean "E.D." and Shirley Savage Dixon. He worked for Reichman Sales and Services Inc. out of Toluca, Illinois in agriculture chemical and seed sales. When Don was not working, which was rare, he enjoyed spending time with his many dear friends, attending church in Maquoketa, and visiting with his caring and generous neighbors. You all were like a second family to Don and we know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (Gerald) Offill of Vinton, Iowa; nieces, Lana (Dustin) Robison of Atkins, Iowa, Lydia (Alan) Tichy, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and his beloved great-nieces-and-nephews, Cole, Layla, and Brooks Robison, Gage and Greta Tichy.

He was preceded in death by his parents E.D and Shirley (Savage) Dixon.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Gary Gutknecht officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday with the family present to greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. We invite you to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, to Don's five great-nieces-and-nephews for higher education. He thought a great deal of them and never missed a birthday celebration or holiday with them. Donations may be made out to Lana Robison with Donald Dixon Memorial written on the memo line and left at the funeral home or mailed to: Donald Dixon Memorial, 309 C Ave, Atkins, Iowa 52206.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Clinton Fire Department, Jackson County Sheriff's Department, MercyOne in Clinton, MercyOne Chaplin Steve Lingel, and Don's pastor Gary (wife Becky) Gutknecht of First Baptist Church in Maquoketa.
