Nancy Lee Jones, 82, of Vinton, died on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Nancy and her family.
Nancy was born January 17, 1943, in Vinton, the daughter of Arthur “Packy” James and Mary Mae (Winterowd) McFarland. She grew up in Vinton and completed her education there. Nancy was united in marriage to DeWayne R. Jones, with whom he later died on March 5, 2011.
Nancy worked for many years as a maintenance oiler at Quaker Oats. She enjoyed fishing, especially her memorable trips to Minnesota, and cherished every moment spent with her family.
Survivors include her son, Orval “Okee” (Teresa) Jones of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughter, Laura Kurth; her great-grandsons, Austin and Cooper Kisling; and two sisters, Judy Ortz of Cedar Rapids and Neva Geinzer of Tipton, brother-in-law, Wilbur “Junior” Corcran of Vinton.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel Corcran, Debra McFarland, Mary Watson, and Linda Uthoff; and two brothers, Jim McFarland and Mike McFarland.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial fund to be established.
