Dollar General employees say business was good on Monday, when the store opened at its new location. The business moved from Fourth Street to the former Roy's grocery store building a few blocks north on 218.

Handgun safety training course offered in the area

  A four hour course for Iowans to obtain their Permit to Carry Weapons has been scheduled in the area. The course is only four hours in length and covers handgun safety, gun handling, carry options and Iowa and Federal laws.
