Kirkwood Foundation receives estate gifts
The Kirkwood Community College Foundation recently received two estate gifts, creating more scholarship opportunities for future students at the college.
The Foundation received more than $350,000 from the estate of Mary Jeanne Palmer, formerly of Cedar Rapids. These funds will create the Mary Jeanne Palmer Memorial Endowed Scholarship to support international study abroad for Kirkwood Community College students.

AMES, Iowa – Frank Van Steenhuyse and Gail Zea, funeral directors at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton, recently attended the 130th Annual Iowa Funeral Directors Association (IFDA) Convention, held May 11-13, 2010, at the Iowa State Center and Gateway Hotel in Ames, Iowa.
