Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through
Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday
on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse
(regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for
their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the
suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are
available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana,
and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is
$3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age
60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered
meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid
supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County.
Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered
Meal. For more information about services, please call
319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or
more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th
St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward
the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to
celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone
having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged
to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they
would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday
celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday
Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We
currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month.
The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars
generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a
gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal.
Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by
calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00
AM on the day of the celebration.

FREE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM AVAILABLE DAILY FOR EVERYONE WHO
EATS A MEAL AT THE SITE DURING MEAL SERVICE TIMES.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, December 28th will be
Baked Glazed Ham, Parslied Potatoes, Green Beans,
Pineapple, Cake, WW Bread, and Milk.

On Monday, October 6th, 4 tables of pepper cards were
played. Bill Milne won 1st place with 255 points. Bud Barr
won 2nd place with 237 points. Hazel Eastwood took 3rd
place with 222 points. After the games, refreshments were
served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, October 7th, the afternoon activity was
Surprise Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.
The games were handpicked by Ruth Wieditz. Game one was a
Flag with JoAnn Roster winning tea and coffee. Game two
was a Dog Bone with Marion Isbell winning tea and coffee.
Game three was the Letter “W” with Norma Ellis winning tea
and coffee. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with
Greta Geiken winning tea and coffee. Darlene Werning won a
meal ticket on game five with a Blackout.

On Wednesday, October 8th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Linda Lough was the volunteer caller and
handpicked the games. Game one was a Layer Cake with
Lorraine Fix and Geri Sharffer winning. Game two was
Frosting with Greta Geiken as the winner. Game three was
B.O. with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game four was One Hard Way
Bingo with Greta Geiken winning. Darlene Werning won game
five with Blackout.

On Thursday, October 9th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller.
Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Wild
Number Three Bingos with Marion Isbell inning. Game two
was a Crazy “T” with Lois Romann as the winner. Game three
was Postage Stamps with Esther Novotny as the winner. Game
four was a 9-Pack with Greta Geiken winning. Esther
Novotny and Greta Geiken won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, October 10th, the afternoon activity was a 500
Card party. There were five tables of players. Lois Romann
won first place with 3,120 points. Bill Milne won second
place with 3,110. Third place went to Keith Weiser with
2,650 points. After the games, refreshments were served by
the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, October 13th, the afternoon activity included
games of Pepper. There were four tables of players. Leroy
Weiser won 1st place with 291 points. Hazel Eastwood won
2nd place with 265 points. Merle Roth and Bernadine Barr
tied for 3rd place with 256 points. After the games,
refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided
the beverages.

On Tuesday, October 14h, we celebrated the October
birthdays. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon
entertainment.

On Wednesday, October 15th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Norma Ellis was the volunteer caller. JoAnn
Roster handpicked the games. Game one was a Check Mark
with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game two was Frame the Card
with Greta Geiken, Mae Wilhelmi and Beverly Stein all
winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with
Greta Geiken winning. Game four was the Letter “W” with
Greta Geiken and Oma Eckhart winning. JoAnn Roster won
game five with a Blackout.

On Thursday, October 16th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller and
handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Hazel
Eastwood winning. Game two was Wild Number Three Bingos
with Lorraine Fix winning. Game three was a Flag with
Viola Calvert winning. Game four was a Crazy “T” with
Esther Novotny and Ruth Wieditz winning. Esther Novotny
won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, October 17th, games of 500 cards were played.
Merle Roths and Milo Cobb tied for 1st place with 3,120
points. Marlys Finzen won 3rd place with 2,410 points.
After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card
Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
