Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through
Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday
on site.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse
(regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for
their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the
suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are
available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana,
and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is
$3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age
60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered
meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid
supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County.
Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered
Meal. For more information about services, please call
319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or
more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th
St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward
the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to
celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone
having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged
to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they
would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday
celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday
Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We
currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month.
The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars
generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a
gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal.
Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by
calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00
AM on the day of the celebration.

FREE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM AVAILABLE DAILY FOR EVERYONE WHO
EATS A MEAL AT THE SITE DURING MEAL SERVICE TIMES.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, December 28th will be
Baked Glazed Ham, Parslied Potatoes, Green Beans,
Pineapple, Cake, WW Bread, and Milk.

On Monday, October 20th, games of pepper cards were
played. After the games, refreshments were served by the
card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, October 21st, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo.

On Wednesday, October 22nd, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller,
Delane Kalina handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack
with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game two was the Letter “L”
with Ruth Wieditz as the winner. Game three was a Goal
Post with Oma Eckhart winning. Game four was Stair Steps
with Marion Isbell winning. Delane Kalina and Oma Eckhart
won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, October 23rd, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Delane Kalina was the volunteer caller and
handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Number Three
Bingos with Oma Eckhart winning. Game two was a Dog Bone
with Marion Isbell as the winner. Game three was the
Letter “X” with Jack Oliphant as the winner. Game four was
a Picnic Table with Ruth Wieditz winning. George Eckhart
won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, October 24th, the afternoon activity was a 500
Card party. There were four tables of players. Leroy
Wieser first place with 3,880 points. Marlys Finzen won
second place with 3,000. Third place went to Margaret
Fuehrer with 2,930 points. After the games, refreshments
were served by the card club. HACAP provided the
beverages.

On Monday, October 27th, the afternoon activity included
games of Pepper. There were three tables of players. Irene
Geiger won 1st place with 253 points. Merle Roth won 2nd
place with 248 points. Bernadine Barr won 3rd place with
225 points. After the games, refreshments were served by
the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, October 28th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller.
Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was a Double
Bingo with JoAnn Roster as the winner. Game two was a
9-Pack with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game three was Wild
Number Three Bingos with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game four
was the Letter “X” with Mae Wilhelmi and Evelyn Greenwood
as the winners. Norma Ellis and Lorraine Fix won game five
with a Blackout.

On Wednesday, October 29th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Game
one was Frame the Card with George Eckhart winning. Game
two was Frame the Free and Four Corners with JoAnn Roster
winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Lois
Romann winning. Game four was the Letter “H” with Hazel
Eastwood winning. Hazel Eastwood won game five with a
Blackout.

On Thursday, October 30th, the afternoon activity was
10-Cent Bingo.

On Friday, October 31st, five tables of 500 cards were
played. Merle Roths won 1st place with 3,500 points.
Marlys Finzen won 2nd place with 2,760 points. Leroy
Wieser took a close 3rd place with 2,740 points. After
the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club.
HACAP provided the beverages.
