Business : Clickstop named a finalist for three Prometheus Awards

Clickstop, an e-commerce business based in Urbana, IA, has been named a finalist for three Prometheus Awards by the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI).

The Prometheus Awards are recognized as Iowa's largest and most prestigious awards devoted to promoting and celebrating the innovation and high-tech excellence in Iowa. It honors both companies and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in technology.

Clickstop is a finalist in the categories of Technology Company of the Year (Large/Enterprise), Top Growth Technology Company of the Year, and CEO of the Year.  It is the parent company of a suite of online retail stores, with its flagship brand US Cargo Control.com, which focuses on moving supplies, rigging equipment, trucking products, and other towing and lifting hardware. Clickstop also operates nine additional web properties, including EcoFoil.com, BellyBling.net, and SpaceSavers.com.

The Prometheus Awards event is considered to be the largest technology event in Iowa and the industry’s most prestigious award. Over 500 industry leaders from business, education, and government attend the formal event. According to Leann Jacobsen, TAI president, the judging panel received a record number of submissions for the awards. "These nominations included one of the most highly competitive pools to-date and include many new names from across Iowa. I think people will be excited about the companies and the technologies that have made it to the finalist stage," said Jacobsen via press release.

Award winners will be announced during the Prometheus Awards ceremony at Veterans Memorial Community Choice Credit Union Auditorium in Des Moines on April 11th.
