Area students named to Loras Dean's List

Loras College has announced the names of students who achieved Dean's List status for the 2015 fall semester. A student must earn a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to be recognized.

Bethlehem Lutheran continues monthly giving with donation to Project Share

At the Sunday worship service on January 31st, 2016 Bethlehem Lutheran Church presented the 1st $103.00 gift to the Vinton Municipal Electric Utility and their Project Share program.

FFA, NHS members wind up holiday season by removing lights

On January 2nd, 2016 the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter kicked off the new-year by taking down the holiday lights and roping around town. The FFA Chapter worked with the NHS students under the Dollars For Scholars organization taking down the decorations at different businesses in Vinton.

489 Wartburg students named to Fall Term Dean's List

US Bank Foundation donates $2,500 to E.I. Honor Flights

The Eastern Iowa Honor Flight today received a donation in the amount of $2500 from the US Bank Foundation.  The check was presented at the Vinton Branch of US Bank, by Branch Manager Jared Schirmer, and Market President Jon Kremer.
