The following students are named to the Fall 2015 Dean's List at Mount Mercy University. Students with a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better, and who are graded (letter grade, not pass/fail) for six or more semester hours, are eligible for inclusion on the Dean's List.

More than 8,370 Iowa State University undergraduates have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2015 fall semester Dean's List.

The University of Dubuque congratulates the following students on being appointed to the Fall Semester 2015 Academic Dean's List.   To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.

Concordia University, Nebraska named 260 students to its honors list for the fall 2015 semester. The list of students includes: Morgan Eggert, a sophomore from Atkins, Iowa Matthew Gerhold, a freshman from Atkins, Iowa The top 25 percent of undergraduate students who complete at least 12 credit hours on the traditional A-F grading scale, receive no failing grades in the semester and earn a semester GPA of at least 3.

At Iowa State University's winter commencement ceremonies, 2,001 students received degrees. Iowa State awarded 1,638 undergraduate degrees, 252 master's degrees, and 111 doctor of philosophy degrees.

Because of the fast growth of the V-S Preschool at Shellsburg, there was a need to hire another teacher. “Our preschool numbers have been going through the roof this year, so we needed to hire another preschool teacher for the ECSE program,” says Shellsburg Principal Ryan Davis.

The following students were named to the fall 2015 Central College dean's list: Jamie Retz of Newhall Warren Rouse of Vinton Drew Kithcart of Atkins Kaitlyn Wells of Atkins   The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.

On January 26, 2016, Alice Hootman, formerly of Vinton, will celebrate her 100th birthday! Alice was a former employee at the County Home and the Iowa Braille & Sightsaving School,  until moving to Webster IA in 1986 with her husband, Art.

One hundred twenty-seven students have been named to the Fall 2015 (August to December) Dean’s List at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls.
