Wartburg College has recognized 521 students who made the 2014 Fall Term Dean's List. Those honored include: Nathaniel Woeste of Atkins Mary Wrage of Dysart Sydney Mackey of Urbana Megan Bridgewater of Van Horne Allison Emrich of Vinton Korbi Burkey of Walker The list cites students who earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.

The following students were named to the fall 2014 Central College dean's list: Amy Andrews of Shellsburg is the daughter of Kenton and Pamela Andrews.

Vinton, IA – The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) will be offering 54 - $1,000 scholarships and the Benton County Farm Bureau Federation will be offering 4 - $500 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college for a two or four year degree.
