Pine 1 FEMA Corps Helps Local Humane Society in Branson, MO

AmeriCorps NCCC Class 19 Corps Member Spotlight: Kelli Beavers

Kelli Beavers, from Flushing, Mich., is a member of Cedar 6 in NCCC’s Class 19. She arrived in Vinton on February 5, 2013, to start her 10-month service term on a team of people between the ages of 18 and 24.

NCCC Cedar 6 Team assists with Camp Wapsie land management

NCCC Maple 7 Tackles invasive species and helps Lauritzen Gardens

By Corey Milligan Maple 7 started their last project in Omaha, Nebraska on October 18 with Lauritzen Gardens and finished on November 2. The team members were thrilled to close out the year with an environmental project, and they worked hard pulling weeds and invasive plant species out on the three-tiered resistance wall just off of Interstate 80.
