Aaron Sackett among Wartburg Homecoming King candidates

The 2010 Center Point-Urbana Homecoming King is now among the candidates for that honor at Wartburg. Aaron Sackett, the son of Chris and Rose Sackett of Center Point, is a biology major at Wartburg.

VS FFA holds first Greenhand Night

For the first year ever, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA chapter held a local Greenhand night for new FFA members on Tuesday October 1, 2013. “Greenhand” stands for a first year member in FFA, not necessarily just for the freshmen, though our night was not just limited to the first year members, anyone was welcome to come.
