The Shellsburg Lions Club is sponsoring a blood drive hosted by the Mississippi Valley Blood Center.  The blood drive will be held on April 29 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Legion Hall, 114 Main St SW.

2021 LPC Festival of Trails Gassman / McIntosh / Mathiesen / Niemeyer 5K RUN/WALKThe annual Festival of Trails 5K Run/Walk race course is family-friendly, beautiful, fairly flat, partially shaded, and in the small-town community of La Porte City, Iowa.

 Wesley United Methodist Church will be hosting a drive-through dinner on Saturday, March 27th, 5-7 pm.Free Will donations will go towards the kitchen remodeling project.

Trinity Lutheran Church will hold a lasagna supper on Wednesday, March 24 beginning at 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. The church is located at 1002 East 13th St.

On Sunday, April 11th, from 1-4:00 p.m., Jon and Julie Clingman will be the guests of honor at an open house held at Total Balance. 217 W. 4th St. You are welcome to come and wish Jon and Julie your best, and enjoy a snack and drink.

A Grab and Go supper will be available with the Garrison Lions Club on Saturday, March 20th, from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Garrison Fire Station.For a freewill donation, the meal includes beef and noodles, a roll, green beans, and fruit.

Friday, March 19, the Vinton Fire Department will hold its annual fish fry fundraiser Beginning at 4:00 p.m. and serving until 7:00 p.m. simply drive to the fire department, drop off your freewill donations, and grab supper.
