Spaghetti Supper for Community April 6

The Blessed Hope Church will be hosting a Spaghetti Supper on April 6th at the American Legion Hall from 5:00-7:00 P.M. The menu includes spaghetti, lettuce, applesauce, garlic bread, dessert and drink.

Literacy Fair seeking adult participants

   The 3rd Annual Benton County Financial Literacy Fair will be held at the Vinton Skate Center on Tuesday, April 9th from 8:15-11:45 AM.  The Financial Literacy Fair is the culmination of a year's worth of financial study and career exploration for area middle school students.

Vinton Unlimited will be holding our Annual Meeting on March 1st, 2013 with key note speaker, Dan Gable.  This will be a great opportunity to hear a short presentation about Vinton Unlimited and the events/activities that have taken place over the past year and look ahead to the upcoming activities of 2013.

American Legion Auxilairy Unit 57 meet

The women of American Legion Auxilairy Unit 57 of Vinton Iowa met to sew wheel chair arm totes for Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. The totes will fit over the arm of the wheel chair a veteran uses to hold bottle of water and any misc.
