  The Vinton Community Swimming Pool will be hosting its annual Doggie Dip event on Sunday, August 21st from 1 PM - 4 PM. The scorching hot dog-days of summer are nearly over! Reminisce and cool off one last time with everyone's greatest pal.

       Regular summer pool hours ended last night.  Here's an update on what's happening this week.         On Thursday, August 18, the pool will be open from 2 PM - 7 PM.

        The Benton County Historical Preservation Commission is sponsoring a workshop on fixing older buildings (as well as financing those repairs) on Monday, Aug.
