Compensation Board proposes 8.3% wage increase

Updated City Code concerning UTV travel within the city limits
Following the changing state of Iowa UTV law, the City of Vinton has updated its City Code concerning UTV travel within the city limits. Please read through the ordinance to answer any questions you may have.~ Be sure your state DNR sticker is current~ A person desiring a safety inspection of their utility vehicle to verify all required equipment is operational and present may schedule an inspection with the Vinton Police Department.
Shellsburg City Council Minutes 1/3/23
01-03-2023 a regular meeting of the Shellsburg City Council was called to order by Mayor Speckner at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers. Roll Call was answered by Vogt, Reeves, Thorkildson, and Travis. Harvey was absent. Mayor Speckner opened a public hearing on the proposed vacation & partial conveyance of unused right-of-way. There were not any questions.

Benton County Compensation Board meets, and then schedules a redo
The Benton County Compensation Board met on January 5th to determine the wages for elected officials in the upcoming fiscal year beginning in July 2023. The board will be meeting again tonight for a redo meeting.
