DONORS WILL BOOST LOCAL BLOOD SUPPLY AND CAST VOTES FOR THEIR FAVORITE FIRST RESPONDER GROUP  The local and national blood supply is dangerously low, and LifeServe Blood Center is asking for help from community members. LifeServe is partnering with local first responders across its entire service region for this year’s Battle of the Badges blood drive.

As a quilter, you are always looking for someone or something to donate to. Recently a group of quilters and friends from Janesville, Wisconsin came across a need for port pillows. I had no idea what these were or what they were used for. They are placed near a port that has been placed for chemo or dialysis treatment while wearing a seatbelt so it won’t rub.
