Clipper Corner Holds 6th Annual Gift of Hope Fundraiser

Since 2018, each October Clipper Corner pulls out all the stops to help the Gifts of Hope Foundation with their fundraising efforts. The shop is in its 39th year and is using the fundraiser to lend a hand to those who need a little extra help during a breast cancer diagnosis.

Digging Deep with Vinton-Shellsburg FFA at the State Soils Evaluation Contest

By: Co-Reporter, Izzie Birker On Wednesday, October 2nd the State-Qualifying Soils Team competed in the FFA State Soils Evaluation CDE at Ames, Iowa. The Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter was lucky enough to take a team of four consisting of Ben Buhr, Megan Schlitter, Andrew Pingenot, and Will McKenna.

A Taste of Tradition: Vinton-Shellsburg FFA's Harvest Meal

As local farmers kicked off their harvest, Vinton-Shellsburg FFA members hosted their annual Harvest Meal on Saturday, October 5th. This year, the event took place at Schminke Equipment and Tama-Benton Co-op, where high school and middle school students teamed up to cook, package, and deliver meals to farmers in the area.
